    Interesting Facts (from InterestingFacts.com)

Most animals have pink tongues, but giraffes have dark purple tongues, or sometimes blue or black ones. This is because of a higher concentration of melanin in their tongues. One theory to explain their darker tongues is that because they often eat leaves above the tree level, their melanin-infused tongues don’t get sunburned. Another interesting fact: giraffe’s tongues can be up to 21 inches long!

    From “Inspiring Quotes”

One of Lincoln’s favorite stories involved an encounter with a stranger who apparently told him, “Some years ago I swore an oath that if I ever came across an uglier man than myself I'd shoot him on the spot.” It may be a tall tale, but Lincoln’s response is funny nonetheless.

Lincoln’s response: “Shoot me, for if I am an uglier man than you I don’t want to live.”

While visiting a wounded soldier, Lincoln noticed a young woman asking the injured man where he had been shot. The soldier had been shot through the testicles and didn’t wish to give the woman an answer. After talking with the soldier, Lincoln gave the woman this delicate explanation.

Lincoln’s response: “My dear girl, the ball that hit him, would have missed you.”

‘Comprehensive Sex Ed’ Tied to Programs to Sexually Groom Children: Brenda Lebsack

In case you think the above article is an isolated example, be aware that sexual grooming of children is often occurring by the title “comprehensive sex ed.” Here is a quote from this article:

“Schools are adopting programs tied to “Comprehensive Sex Ed” and others that are teaching a hyper-sexualized narrative on gender and personal relationships. Behind these programs is a system that is pulling children from the authority of their parents, and exposing them to direct lines of communication with adults on sexual platforms. Children who refuse the new sexual and political narratives face various forms of racial and sexual discrimination, and parents who refuse to acknowledge the sexual narratives can be accused of ‘spiritual abuse.’ According to Brenda Lebsack, a teacher of 30 years and a former school board member for Orange Unified School District, these programs equate to the grooming of children and are part of a broader agenda.” Click here to read full article.

For Boosting Self-Control, the Research Is Clear: Nothing Beats Religious Belief

Educators, counselors, and others recognize that self-control is an important factor in helping children, teens, and adults to make wise decisions and avoid making unwise decisions. Therefore anything that helps them do so is very important.

And this research indicated that one factor helps them to do so, and this factor increases self-control significantly. This study found that religious belief significantly improves people’s ability to have self-control. It is indeed unfortunate educators have been pushing aggressively to remove any religious beliefs from school instruction. Click here to read full article.
