Preparing Your Clients and Yourself for a Fulfilling Retirement

Saturday, March 26th

9am-12pm

Description

Recent studies have shown that there is an increased risk of death in the two years after retirement for men in their sixties. However, several other studies have shown that people between 65 and 79 have less stress, depression, worry and anger and more enjoyment and happiness and satisfaction in life than any other age group. What makes the difference? Fortunately, we now have several research studies that help us know what factors contribute to early mortality versus what factors can lead to successful and fulfilling retirement years.

Learning Objectives

Objective 1 - What factors are associated with early mortality for retirees

Objective 2 - What factors are associated with successful and fulfilling retirement years

Objective 3 - What counselors can do to help prepare clients or themselves for a fulfilling retirement
