Description
Although most are familiar with ADHD through graduate school, this presentation will delve deeply into the nuances of this disorder and look at common factors that impact misdiagnosis.
Learning Objectives
Objective 1 - Identify the neurobiological and environmental factors that come into play with this disorder.
Objective 2 - Define the difference between ADHD and bipolar, or ADHD and autism.
Objective 3 - Summarize the research related to ADHD and trauma.
Objective 4 - List at least five interventions to utilize throughout the life span.
Presenter
Dr. Rogers-Larke has been a licensed counselor for thirty years and has been speaking extensively for the last ten on ADHD and mental health issues in children. Diagnosed with ADHD, she integrates her own experiences with the disorder and incorporates stories from her clients.
