Interesting Quotes
Three quotes from Albert Einstein:
Bear in mind that the wonderful things you learn in your schools are the work of many generations. All this is put in your hands as your inheritance in order that you may receive it, honor it, add to it, and one day faithfully hand it on to your children.
If I were not a physicist, I would probably be a musician. I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music... I get most joy in life out of music.
I am enough of the artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.

AI Enhanced Scams
This is not a counseling article, but I just read about a new application of Artificial Intelligencethat could fool any of us if we’re not aware. This is a quote from the April edition of the Florida Consumers Newsletter.
“You get a call. There’s a panicked voice on the line. It’s your grandson. He says he’s in deep trouble — he wrecked the car and landed in jail. But you can help by sending money. You take a deep breath and think. You’ve heard about grandparent scams. But darn, it sounds just like him. How could it be a scam?
Voice cloning, that’s how. Artificial intelligence (AI) is no longer a far-fetched idea out of a sci-fi movie. We’re living with it, here and now. A scammer could use AI to clone the voice of your loved one. All he needs is a short audio clip of your family member’s voice — which he could get from content posted online — and a voice-cloning program. When the scammer calls you, he’ll sound just like your loved one.
So how can you tell if a family member is in trouble or if it’s a scammer using a cloned voice? Don’t trust the voice. Call the person who supposedly contacted you and verify the story. Use a phone number you know is theirs. If you can’t reach your loved one, try to get in touch with them through another family member or their friends.”

If you think your mental health might be improved by a little humor, you could give it a try.

No, Gabor Maté Did Not Actually Diagnose Prince Harry with ADHD on Live TV
Gabor Mate is the author of a controversial book and frequently advertises his webinar on the web. Recently he diagnosed Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, after watching the video Spare. He also claims that ADHD is caused by trauma and can be “healed” without medication. Many experts in the field, especially those who specialize in treating ADHD, disagree with Mate and also disagree with the concept of diagnosing someone without meeting with them and making the diagnosis public as Mate has done. To read more about this controversy, see the following article.

The Trouble with Gabor Maté’s ADHD Diagnosis
It is unusual, but Attitude Magazine actually ran articles two days in a row having experts in ADHD disputing the misinformation Gabor Mate articulated with regard to his diagnosis and explanation of Prince Harry’s diagnosis. How exercise leads to sharper thinking and a healthier brain
There have been multiple research studies suggesting that exercise leads to healthier brain functioning, but some have criticized these studies as being too small or for other reasons. Now a large study (350,000 subjects) has laid to rest the criticism that studies have been too small. And a smaller study gives us a hint at why exercise leads to sharper thinking and a healthier brain. Apparently exercise promotes the creation of a brain chemical—brain-derived neurotrophic factor (abbreviated as BDNF) which promotes the growth of new brain cells and synapses (some call it Miracle-Gro for the brain). I know that as you get older it gets easier to find justifications for not exercising, so find an exercise buddy or some other way to keep you motivated.
